Hello everyone. I hope you’re having a great weekend. I’ve been a busy bee, which you probably already know if you read last week’s post and follow me on social media. Last week’s post was like an explosion of thoughts, it felt great to tell you guys about it all but this week we are back to the business side of shannonatron.com! This week I have a product review for you guys. This week I’m talking about the PHN100 Headphones from PhonAudio.
*Just a quick disclaimer before you read on. This post is sponsored by PhonAudio. This means that I have been compensated by being given this product. However the opinions below are my own.*
So after my promotional photoshoot, I was extremely lucky to receive a set of the PHN100 headphones as a gift from the company, so today I’m going to share my thoughts on this product with you guys. It’s going to be a little more in-depth than usual, because I want to show you every aspect of this product.
I have been using these headphones for just over a week. I wanted some time before writing about them, so I could use them in different situations to see just what their performance is like. Firstly though, I want to talk about the presentation of this product.
In terms of appearance, the PHN100 headphones are over-ear, which prior to using them was not my favourite style. Now I can say I definitely prefer them to in-ear headphones, as they feel much more secure and block out a lot more noise. The PHN100 comes in 3 different colours, which are silver, gold and black. I have the silver ones and they are just as gorgeous as the other colours. I like how these headphones have a flash of colour, but aren’t at all too crazy when it comes to patterns and colours like some on the market. These headphones are brilliantly subtle, turning heads for all the right reasons. When I have taken them out with me for walks to work, for example, I have been given compliments on how stylish these headphones look.
The packaging for this product is also great. In fact, I have bought headphones before in the same price range (details towards the end of this post) that have been bland and less protective in terms of their packaging. When you purchase a product for the first time, the packaging is what gives you a first impression of the company itself. If a company cares deeply about its product, then the packaging presentation is second-to-none. PhoneAudio’s presentation of this product was exactly that. It came securely wrapped in cellophane, the presentation itself was minimalistic in style, showing you everything you needed to see before the big reveal of opening it all up. I really do like how smart, clean and stylish the packaging is. It’s simple style gave a hint that there was much more to come once the box was opened – and I was surprised! I must also say how sturdy this box is yet how light it is, offering protection for the product as well as not being too heavy to carry around if you are collecting them like I did.
After taking out the headphones and lifting that part of the box out, there is another compartment beneath it, made up of 3 different sections that I have listed below:
- 1 – Headphone wires in a protective plastic casing. You need this to connect the headphones to whatever technology you are using to listen.
- 2 – Warranty and Controls Booklet. It states that there is a 1 year warranty period for free parts and free repairing from your purchase date. This booklet also gives you an overview of the controls, which include volume, multifunction button control, how answer calls and end calls.
- 3 – Protective Velvet Case. This is a lovely detail as the protective case is fashionable in itself.
As I said earlier on, I wanted to give these headphones some time so I could use them in different scenarios to see how well they perform. The first time I used them, I was sat at my computer desk in my house writing. When I first pressed play on my favourite song, I was blown away by how clear it all sounded, and how intense the bass was. Every beat seemed to be much more intense, and I could not hear anything else while using them. These headphones almost make you feel as though you have the musician directly in front of you, every detail of the songs I was listening to was crystal clear.
I have since used these headphones while playing games on my PC. These headphones are not only great for listening to music, but because of how they block out sound they have breathed life into some of my older games, making for a much more immersive experience. I heard sounds that I was not even aware were in some of my games. I feel as though PhonAudio’s attention to even the smallest of detail is continued from the packaging and into the product itself.
As for taking these headphones out and about, they still do not falter one bit. When I have been in the car (as a passenger of course!) I have used them to block out the sound of the engine and the other people talking in the car (I must admit I do have moments of being anti-social…) and they do exactly that. When I have used these headphones on my commute to work (it’s a 30 minute walk) I have not heard anything around me – so bear that in mind if you are crossing busy roads! Because I often deal with anxiety, I find that listening to music when I’m out on my own really helps – blocking out the world around me often makes it easier for me to go about my daily tasks and because these headphones block noise out, I have been at ease more often than not!
For these Headphones I want to give them a 10/10. They meet all of my needs when it comes to gameplay, making calls and above all, listening to my favourite music. The headphones are easy to use and bring good quality sound to the listener. I also cannot praise PhonAudio enough for their attention to detail – from the velvet casing to the fact that these headphones are foldable, making them easier to carry around with you if you are always on the go.
These particular headphones are retailing at £189 from their website, however, I have been given a code for any of my readers that would be interested. The discount is 60%, which is a really hefty saving if you ask me. Here are some more details below:
I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s post. If you are interested in having a more in-depth look at PhonAudio, then please visit their website or their Instagram page, as they also have other products to offer. They also have a page where you can look at their reviews – don’t just take my word for it! This company has had some brilliant reviews from The Independent.
See you next week for another blog post. Have a great week! Xoxo
